EPISODE 2 CRITIQUE OF WARIDI BY STEPHANIE WAIRIMU

Begins with a zoom out of Harry’s house to establish where the first scene will take place. Music can be heard in the background. Linda is still angry with Harry and wants Lorna fired. She vows to show Lorna who the woman in Harry’s life is. Music in the background is used to enhance suspense over what Linda plans to do. Linda pays Lorna a visit. A low angle shot of Linda shows that at this time she has power over Lorna, who is portrayed by a high angle shot, as she has come to fire her.
Tilt down of Andy’s wall in his house. Sally and Andy argue over having children. A close up shot of Sally serves to show us the hurt in Sally’s eyes as Andy would rather think about having children than getting to know her better. Lorna puts pressure on Andy to give Harry an heir taking advantage of the fact that Waridi is not around to give Harry an heir.
A full shot of all the people at the Harry Potter meeting seated around a conference table. Extreme close up of Paul to weigh in on the gravity and seriousness of what he is saying to his staff. An over the shoulder shot of the staff to show their reactions to Paul. Meanwhile, Sanga and Jane continue to plot on how they will bring down Paul and Waridi.
Trust is theme widely portrayed in this episode. Without it a marriage will be in trouble. Linda does not trust Harry thus causing a rift in their marriage.

Stephanie, you've done well to bring out the different camera shots - were they used well to tell the story? How about the picture compositions? What message did you get from them?
