I settled on Waridi as its timeslot is most convenient for me. Secondly, I find it quite interesting. Local productions have been known to leave a bad taste in ones mouth at times, but I must commend the crew of Waridi for their efforts that show clearly when the program is aired.
Newly weds Sally and Andy begin life as a married couple. Sally has symptoms of pregnancy which excites a medium side shot of her vomiting in the toilet makes the whole scene believable without leaving the audience disgusted. Andy does not know that she is barren. She goes to her guardian, Radi, for advice as she is afraid that if Andy finds out the truth he’ll leave her. There is a close up shot of her crying to make us sympathize with her.
Jane, Paul’s secretary, is plotting to separate Paul and his wife Waridi. She deletes all her emails and even insinuates to Paul that Waridi may have found another man in the U.S. Harry Potter Limited is behind in tax payment due to the emails deleted by Jane. Paul bribes tax officials to prevent himself from going to jail.
Andy’s mother, Lorna is secretly working on Harry’s P.R. campaign, but Linda, Harry’s wife finds out through a newspaper and is furious.
Themes portrayed in this episode include corruption. Paul pays a bribe to government officials. Jealousy breeds suspicion. Linda is suspicious of Lorna as she is jealous of her close relationship with Harry.
